Future

The Future is NOW

There is no other moment than the present one.

However, in this present moment I have an idea of where I would like to end up. Right now the plan is to double major at the University of Maine with Psychology and Business. From here I plan to move out to British Columbia Canada and open my own business.

BC is a place I have always wanted to travel to. The   west coast of Canada. Where the mountains are steep and deep. BC has always appealed to me, and it has always been my life long dream to               become an entrepreneur. After living in BC for a couple of years (4-7) and depending on how my business is doing, I would like to head south.

The business I plan on starting is one that is outdoor-adventure oriented, however it is not one that applies strictly to one discipline of the outdoors. Work should be a compliment to my hobby rather than taking my hobbies place. An example of this would be the GoPro camera. The founder of the company made a product by doing what he loved, and the product he made was able to apply directly to many other disciplines of the outdoors. The man did not turn surfing, his passion, into work rather he used it to progress both.

This spring I plan on receiving my Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification. Once that is done I hope to find work as a sea kayaking guide outside of Portland Maine. I am sure that I will learn a lot of useful information from the WFA, and I plan to look at my new job (hopefully) with a business perspective and see how things are run from the inside out.

After moving to BC and starting  a business, and after moving down South (Red Rocks area), I plan to move back to the East Coast, and more specifically either Maine or New Hampshire. I love New England. Once I have had a taste of the world there is nothing I would want more than to come back to the place I started to raise a family.
